The activities of The Le Mat Network are as follows:
1. Research/studies
Action research concerning the evaluation of quality
in social enterprises of the participating countries;
Synthesis study concerning the existing kinds of consultancy
between social enterprises - peer review;
Synthesis study concerning quality recruitment and
kinds of training of social entrepreneurs and consultants
- peer review;
Analysis study of franchising models in the participating
countries;
Comparative report regarding franchising models in
social economy;
Research report concerning visibility and inclusion
of social enterprises in regional and national strategies
for inclusion.
2. Tools & Methodologies
A self-learning tool regarding the creation of social
co-operatives:
a. entrepreneurial guide (printed material)
b. development of a CD ROM
c. development of web page
A web site for promoting products and services of social
enterprises;
Social audit tools in social economy;
Benchmarking and peer learning tools;
Improvement of quality systems regarding social enterprises.
3. Exchanges/Transfer Of Know How/Learning Visits
Exchanges between social entrepreneurs, managers and
consultants concerning the evaluation of quality in social
enterprises;
Work meetings with the involvement of experts;
Organisation of five working seminars concerning the
following:
a. Seminar 1: Learning methodologies/transfer of know how (Sweden)
b. Seminar 2: Networking models (Germany)
c. Seminar 3: Significant economic sectors (UK)
d. Seminar 4: Presentation of the hotel chain franchise (Italy)
e. Seminar 5: Presentation of franchising models (Greek).
4. Mainstreaming and dissemination activities
Book collecting interviews, case studies, results of
the thematic areas' work focused on decent work through
the social economy and the dissemination throughout the
main reviews (at European and International level) dealing
with decent work and social economy;
Dissemination conference at the end of the project;
Website for dissemination purposes;
Publicity material for social enterprises.
In our dissemination activities we will meet the already developed know
how of the ILO on behalf of decent work and we can use all their institutional
channels and publication to raise attention around the role of the social
economy sector and the necessity to support the sector in a more appropriate
way.
