The regional partnerships provide a very strong base for the work of the project. |
SEP is delivering the project in five English regions (London, North East, South East, West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber), and in Scotland and Wales via new regional partnerships of the national partners (Co-operatives UK, Development Trusts Association and Social Firms UK) and other strategic regional partners. |
The project is helping to build regional infrastructure and raise awareness of the social enterprise sector, in addition to the operational delivery of a whole series of activities to support social enterprises at a regional level. |
The regional partners are working with the national central projects to pilot quality and impact tools and/or the new training programmes but are also delivering a wide range of additional activities depending upon local needs. |
The project is the first time that different kinds of social enterprise have been brought together to work at the regional level throughout Great Britain. |
The networks formed are a basis at regional level for the creation of a vibrant social enterprise sector in the future. |
