SFEDI’s core standards

SFEDI’s core standards for business advice and management (referred to as Business Support and Business Development). These standards are the core SFEDI standards and sit beside the Social Enterprise specific standards as an overall package for managing or advising social enterprise. The introduction to both sets of core standards contain valuable information on how to integrate standards into your practice, however, stay tuned for further social enterprise specific guidance. While consultation to feed into the 1st formal version of the NOS has now clued up, your review and comments on the latest draft version of the standards will prove helpful for making future adjustments.

We encourage you to take the time to familiarize yourself with the content of the national occupational standards and future postings will explore in more detail how these standards can translate into professional development qualifications and other tools for success.

The national occupational standards (NOS) are grouped into two categories: For managers and those running social enterprises, and for advisors providing advice to social enterprises.
