Regional Delivery Networks
In selected regions/nations (including South East, North
East, Yorkshire & The
Humber, West Midlands, Scotland), we have established regional
partnerships, beginning with representatives from the Co-operative
UK, DTA, and Social
Firms UK regional networks, and subsequently involving other strategic
partners. This programme led to the formation of North East Social
Enterprise Partnership
which is an alliance of seven regional social enterprise support
agencies. NESEP has secured new financing from One North East and
is set to deliver
an ambitious capacity building programme in the region. In each
region a lead contact has been designated. These meet regularly
and planimplementation of the programme at a regional level, reporting
on a quarterly
basis on
outputs, match funding, and expenditure.
Evaluation
We have employed an external evaluator, Jane Sidaway, to evaluate the operation
of the Partnership and the impact of its work. Jane is a previous European
Union Community Initiative co-ordinator and her experience is proving a
valuable asset to the operation of this project.
Policy Impact
We will be working with the Social Enterprise Coalition to draw on
the learning of the Partnership’s work to influence policy makers
and encourage mainstreaming of practice.
